All the elements of this very special house are being individually designed and manufactured to ensure that the very highest quality is delivered throughout the building. The house sits in a tight urban site with no access to the boundary on one side therefore we will deliver the building with the finished coat render already applied with the rest of the building having the top coat applied after it has been constructed.

The house will have a highly effcient thermal envelope with an expected very low air leakage rate thereby ensuring that it will cost very little to both heat and cool the building.

Construction will start on the 30th of May and will take approxiamtely 4 weeks to build. After this we will be building another floor on top of the existing building we built last year as the owners now have permission to add another floor on top of the existing one we have built.

 EBS Elk supported erect architecture during the competition by providing cost and design information to integrate EBS Elk’s closed timber panel system into the design. The EBS Elk system optimises thermal performance, efficiency and speed of construction producing a low energy/carbon emission building. 

 Andrew Altman, chief executive of the Olympic Park Legacy Company said: ‘We were impressed by the creativity of all the design concepts but erect architecture really captured the character of the Park as a compelling destination.

 ‘These spaces will be one of the first new public spaces and facilities added to the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. It is another example of how legacy plans for the Park are more advanced than any other previous host Olympic city.’
